Lawrence-Nelson prom is two weeks away! See below for the evening's schedule.

The students in Entrepreneurship class have been working on their “Shark Tank” project for some time. They had to come up with a unique product or service idea and then create it. There were other requirements along the way. They had to develop a logo, slogan, pricing sheet, website, business cards, packaging and price tag, newspaper ad and will still do a commercial for their product. Monday we had the “Sharks” come in to listen to their sales pitch and decide if they would invest in and help them with their idea. They all did a great job and answered some tough questions presented by the Sharks.
Here are the products they created:
Bin Buddy–a solution to the hot, dirty job of cleaning the old grain out of grain bins to prepare for the new crop. It is also a healthier alternative to breathing in the grain dust while cleaning out the bin. You don’t even have to enter the bin because this remote control vehicle will do all the work for you by sweeping the grain into the sweep auger with its rotating brush while you just operate it from the doorway. How fun does that sound? The engineers behind this product also expressed the desire to make it autonomous with time, making the job easier yet.
Shaxe–a multi-purpose tool that is a combination of a shovel and an axe. Imagine only having to take one tool with you while in the pasture chopping musk thistles and cedar trees. The shovel would allow you to chop the smaller items and the axe would let you get rid of the larger cedar trees too while you are out there. Chopping ice for the cattle in the winter would be easier with this tool also. You could chop the ice with the axe and then scoop it out of the tank with the shovel–again by only taking one tool with you. The possibilities are endless with this useful tool.
Cord Wrapper–the simple, decorative solution to those cords lying around all over on the floor posing many problems. No more having to move those cords as you vacuum or sucking those cords up in the vacuum cleaner. No more tripping on those cords which poses a safety issue for all ages. No more pets being able to chew on and ruin those cords and possibly suffering injury. These can be bought plain or custom designed just for your tastes and decorating preferences.
